Infectious Eats Popdeck: Art skate decks come to Infectious
We started Infectious believing that an online community was one of the best ways to create great art products. And for the last year we have had the fortune to work with incredible artists creating iPhone skins, iPod skins, car decals, adhesive wall art and laptop art. Call it our little crusade to make the stuff in your life less boring. Well, today we are excited to announce, that Infectious art will move onto yet another surface…. skatedecks! But instead of starting from scratch, we are acquiring Popdeck… a website dedicated to community driven skate deck design.
We’re kicking things off with a Skate Deck Design Challenge for the first 5 skate decks that will be added to the Infectious Skate Deck Catalog. Winning prizes range from $1000 to a limited edition, never to be sold “Infectious Eats Popdeck” skate deck. Parker and Adam, the founders of Popdeck will be joining us as guest judges for the design challenge. These guys did an awesome job of taking an interesting idea and getting it off the ground. We are privileged to take it over and grow the project from here.
We’ll be adding the Popdeck catalog of decks to our website this summer and at that time shutting down Popdeck. We’re excited to have the Popdeck community becoming part of Infectious and hope you’ll join us in the crusade against boring. Long live art.
